Good Sunday Evening Readers..
Today was an overcast, gloomy, rainy day. The mercury rose to about 46 degrees today and will be about the same on Monday.. Even though there will be rain on on Tuesday it will be the warmest day we have this week but, by the time you are reading this it will be a beautiful sunny day on Wednesday..So, my friends put down the paper and get out to enjoy it!
If you think with the trees almost bare the fall colors are all over. That is partially true but, if you take a drive from Glidden to Clam Lake or Clam Lake to Hayward and look at the beautiful golden hue of the Tamarack trees you will be pleasantly surprised..They are spectacular this time of year and should be appreciated..
Next month the Potluck Dinner/meeting will be held the second Thursday which will be Thursday, November 8th at 5pm..
I forgot a Birthday Wish on the November calendar, here’s a big Happy Birthday Wish going out to Kathy (McCorison) Arias who will celebrate her special day on November 1st..
If you are looking for a way to make someone’s holiday season a little brighter then the Clam Lake Forest Riders Snowmobile Club would like to remind you to mark Saturday, November 10th down on your calendar, because it’s the day of their next Meat Raffle. This event all the proceeds will be donated to local charities..and it’s also a way to put meat in your freezer, (the meat comes from the Sixth Street Market in Ashland). So, be sure you attend this fun event at Ransom’s..
As you enjoy your week don’t forget to enjoy the sunshine mid-week and the beauty amidst us.. Until next time..Be Grateful and Be Kind!!
