Well, well, well, Spring has finally Sprung! Friday, Saturday and Sunday were beautiful with the mercury climbing into the 60’s and 70’s. It’s “suppose” to be 46 degrees on Monday with some rain. That’s okay because April showers bring May flowers, as they say and there is no snow in the forecast for this work week. Poor Colorado got hit with 18+ inches of snow. We are all so glad, it wasn’t us….
Get well wishes go out to Bev Vadnais this week as she had recent hip surgery. We all wish her a speedy recovery….
If you missed the last Potluck Dinner/meeting you missed out on a good time… This was the last meeting for our resident Aussie’s as they are leaving Clam Lake for Colorado the first weekend in May. Then from Colorado it will be Rhode Island, New York, California and then back down under by November as Andy starts school. Whew! What a vacation these three will have to talk about. As Mike, Inga and Andy have enriched our lives, we wish them the best and very safe travels….
Also, at the meeting the topics discussed were the 4th of July Fireworks display, which this year will be held on Sunday, July 3rd. as Monday is the holiday. Lynne Rice was granted permission to receive the membership list for potential Glidden Historical Society building fund donors (only those people with root connections to Clam Lake and Glidden will be sent requests). Lynne has been working closely with the Historical Society in regards to a Clam Lake section. This will ensure that old photos and articles be preserved “properly”. Also, Bud will be organizing a work day to clear brush at the community club (when weather permits).
So, if you missed the meeting, you really missed out…. The next dinner/meeting will be held on May 12th at 5pm.
Get out and enjoy! Until next time…be kind!
