Good Evening Readers!
The snow came to the Northwood’s today, not as much as they were predicting just a few inches here in Clam Lake. It’s now 32 degrees and it’s 7:15 pm, That’s the warmest it’s been all day, now they are predicting a snow/rain mixture for the rest of the week.. It’s weird being the first week of December and the lakes aren’t froze yet, you could almost put the canoe in and tool around the lake, if the sun would shine, it would be beautiful…
On Thursday, December 8, at 5pm Christmas Cheer comes to Clam Lake as the Clam Lake Community hosts a Christmas Get-Together. The time is 5pm and this is “Not” a Potluck..Please bring an appetizer to share and if you would like a $15.00 Gift Exchange..(Male for Male/ Female for Female). It’s “BYOB” if you would like to partake in a cocktail.. This is a good way to kick off the Holiday’s and is always a lot of fun… Hope to see you there!!
Then on Saturday, December 10th, the Clam Lake Forest Riders Snowmobile Club will host a “Meat Raffle” at Deb’s Y-Go-BY in downtown Clam Lake from 3pm to 5pm… This raffle the meat packages are being provided from Sixth Street Market. Also, Deb and Roger will offering .50 cents off drinks special during the raffle…
As you recall the club’s November Raffle proceeds went to charity. The Forest Riders would like to Thank everyone who came out to support this cause. That raffle raised $500.00 which was split between the Brick Ministries and the Sixth Street Market Holiday Meals.. The proceeds of the December 10th Raffle will go towards the maintenance of the groomer, the groomer shed and Trail 9A (Jack Dudley Memorial Trail). This is always a fun event, so mark the date down and fill your freezer…
As we all do the count down till Christmas let’s not forget to be kind…
Until next time….
