Happy Thanksgiving Readers!
It’s Thanksgiving week, the woods are dotted with orange and the turkeys are in hiding…a typical week in the Northwood’s…
On the way to Hayward on Sunday, we drove up on a car going about 25 mph and couldn’t figure out what he was doing and all the sudden he pulled off the road and up on the hill was a 6X6 bull elk. We watched as the elk was feeding on the brush. He sure was a fantastic specimen and I’m glad he was a part of our Sunday drive…
I have a correction to make: The Clam Lake Community Christmas Get-Together will be held on Thursday, December 8th (NOT the 9th). I was looking at the wrong page on the calendar! There will be a Clam Lake Community Christmas Get-Together on Thursday, December 8th at 5pm. We will NOT have a Potluck so, PLEASE bring an appetizer to share and if you would like to participate in the gift exchange, bring a male gift if you are a male and a female gift if you are a female. There is a $15 limit so, be creative in your choices.
A Speedy Recovery wish goes out to Cheryl Miller as she is now the owner of a brand new hip.. Cards and letters of cheer would be welcome as Cheryl recovers at home…
Congrats to Alason Vecchie on her first deer! By the pictures it looks like a really nice buck. Way To Go Alason!!
As we all give thanks this Thursday on Thanksgiving don’t forget all those in your circle, your family near and far, your friends near and distant and all those who have touched your life in some special or small way… It’s the people in our life’s circle that make it rich and full….
Until next time …. be kind!
