Good early Monday morning Readers!
It looks like it’s going to be a beautiful day out there, maybe a little rain according to the Duluth Weather. But, as we all know it’s only a weather prediction….
I have to apologize for the lack of article last week, things just got away from me and I couldn’t get it in. My err….
As we start the month of October this week , I know already, it’s time to look at the trusty birthday calendar. so here’s the birthdays of your friends and neighbors:
It’s beautiful Sunday afternoon, the mercury on our side of Lower Clam Lake is settled in at 66 degrees. There’s a light breeze and if you sit in the sun it’s pretty nice. Sometimes fall like is the best!
To err is human and I’m at fault for the err I made last week.
The Bugle Days Dinner will be held on Saturday September 12 (not the 10th) I hope I haven’t caused a great deal of confusion…
The next Potluck Dinner/meeting will be held this Thursday at 5pm. The meeting is first, then dinner and then” High Stakes” Bingo. So, bake up a tasty treat and join your friends and neighbors…..
Good Sunday Evening Readers…
It’s about 6:30 pm and the mercury is quickly falling, as we reached a balmy 78 degrees today the night should be pretty comfortable. I’m hoping for another spectacular sunset. It seems to change to a beautiful red as it hits the tops of the trees and the reflection on the lake is awesome! The beauty of our Northwood’s…. there’s nowhere better than this!
What a soggy Sunday this turned out to be! Once in awhile the sun will peak out and then I’ll run outside to pick some more flowers be fore they all blow away and it’s starts to drizzle…. oh, well there’s always Monday…..
There’s a correction as I was mis-informed. The Forest Service informational open-house will be held from 3:30pm to 7pm on September 30th, Note the time change……
Good afternoon Readers!
I have a couple of September dates to share. On Saturday, September 12, The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation will hold Bugle Days in Clam Lake. If you would like to reserve your spot for dinner you can call: Jenifer Nieland at 920-639-1850. It’s always a good time, so reserve your spot now….
Good Monday Morning Readers!
Saturday was a beautiful day for Clam Lake’s 3rd Annual August Fest. I have a lot of people to thank so, bare with me.
Hello Reader’s!
It seems that the last week I’ve noticed everyone walking a little faster, the grocery stores a a lot busier. I guess that means everyone is in a hurry to enjoy summer before it slips away. The kids will get back into their school schedule and yes that means everybody will have to go back to work!
It’s been a very hot week this past week in the mid eighties and it’s suppose to continue into this week with no relief in sight… I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it looks like this heat wave will continue unless we get some rain…..so, let’s all do our rain dance or say a little prayer for rain….
The next big event in Clam Lake is the Saturday, August 8, August Fest. The food will be served starting at 11am and will be done when the food is gone ( 4:30 to 5ish). Music by Richard Anderson will start at Noon and go on till 3pm. The Drawing for all the prizes will be at 4pm. We hope everyone will stop by it sounds like a real good time…..
I’m back!
It was a rough 2 weeks off and I know I missed the fireworks but, I had a great view out my window to see Duluth’s and Superior’s fireworks and they were good enough for me. I would like to THANK our dedicated men who do the show for us year after year. I heard it was a fabulous display. Good job guys!!
